Vikings, Bridgewater and the O-Line

I don’t expect the Vikings to be very forthcoming with information on Teddy Bridgwater’s injury. They want to keep the Packers guessing this short week. So far the reports say that it’s just a spain, but as we all know, if it’s the dreaded high ankle sprain, he could be out weeks or days.

I wonder if it’s coincidence that the Vikings place Brandon Fusco on injured reserve and the offensive line have their best game of this young season. ¬†Vladimir¬†Ducasse started in Fusco’s spot and played pretty well. The offensive line as a whole had their best game so far, giving Teddy a nice pocket to pass from and opening some huge holes for Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon to run through. The weak spot in the O-line IMHO is still Charlie Johnson.

The Viking defense is ranked 17th giving up an average of 354 yards per game, and ranked 9th giving up an average of 21 points through the first 4 games.

Useless Facts

  • Regular Season Record (all-time) :¬†433-367-10
  • Vikings have an overall record against the Packers of 48-55-2.
